Free Subscribers
- Email address — to deliver the newsletter.
- Subscription date and source — to understand how subscribers find us.
- Reading behavior — open rates, click rates, and link clicks within emails, as tracked by our newsletter platform (Beehiiv). This data is aggregate and used to improve content.
Paid Subscribers (additional data)
- Payment information — processed and stored by Stripe. We receive only a payment confirmation token; we never see or store your full card number.
- Billing name and email — used for receipts and subscription management.
- Country/region — used for tax compliance where required.
Automatically Collected
- IP address and general location — collected by Cloudflare for security and performance.
- Browser type and device — used for email rendering optimization.
- Form submissions — if you contact us via a web form, your message and email are collected via Formspree.
We do not collect social media profiles, phone numbers, or any sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric).
3.How We Use Your Data
We use collected data exclusively to:
- Deliver the weekly newsletter and transactional emails (billing confirmations, service notices).
- Process and manage paid subscriptions.
- Analyze aggregate engagement to improve content quality and relevance.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or any automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects on you.
4.Third-Party Services
We share data with the following service providers solely to operate the newsletter. Each is contractually bound to protect your data and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

5.We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise monetize your personal information to any third party. This includes data brokers, advertisers, and marketing platforms. Our revenue comes from subscriptions, not your data.
7.Data Retention
- Free subscribers: We retain your email and engagement data as long as you remain subscribed. Upon unsubscribe, your data is deleted from our active systems within 30 days. Residual copies in backups may persist for up to 90 days.
- Paid subscribers: Billing records are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance, even after subscription cancellation. Email and engagement data is deleted within 30 days of cancellation.
- Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 2 years to support your inquiry.
8.Your Rights
Regardless of your location, you have the following rights:
- Unsubscribe: Click the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email us directly.
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data. Exceptions apply for data we are legally required to retain.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format (e.g., CSV).
- Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.

9.GDPR — EEA and UK Subscribers
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, the following applies:
Legal Basis for Processing
- Consent: You subscribed and provided your email address voluntarily. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Contract: Processing of billing data is necessary to fulfill your paid subscription contract.
- Legitimate interest: Aggregate analytics to improve newsletter quality.
- Legal obligation: Retention of billing records as required by applicable law.
Data Transfers
Our service providers (Beehiiv, Stripe, Cloudflare) may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards as required by GDPR.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data in compliance with GDPR.
10.CCPA — California Subscribers
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights:
- Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information, so no opt-out is necessary.

11.Children's Privacy
The AI Playbook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
